I'd say the Lee Auto-Prime. It gives you a large and small primer set-up. You only need to buy the cartridge holder. They aren't expensive..under $25 as I recall, and the holders are about $4 each. The tray holds 100 primers. I like it and use it for quite a few of the calibers I reload for.

I'll agree on the Lee Auto Prime choice.
I also have the RCBS hand primer and I prefer the Lee. Although I can use my regular shell holders with the RCBS, the Lee is simpler to use and set up.

Good luck quitting smoking!

I use the Lee Auto Prime also. Somewhere along the way I wound up with two, so I keep one set up for Large primers and the other for small primers.

Me too.
I think the LEE hand primer is a great tool.
I use it for all my cases, except the Vetterli and Beaumont.
For these two I use the primer tool on my RCBS Rock Chucker press because I don't have the case holders for the LEE hand primer for these calibers.
Works for me.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

I'll add my vote for the lee too the one i have has primed thousands of cartridges. no problems and a great (feel) for when the
primer is seated correctly.

I vote for the Lee hand-held priming tool. I've got one of the RCBS tools also, but it's more complicated and clumsy to use than the Lee. I've been using the Lee since I started reloading about 25 years ago and have used up about three of them, but Lee always replaces them for free when you send the broken one back.

Lee has gotten better at making their shell holders; they fit better than they used to. The holder for 7.5x55 Swiss didn't work well at first, but after the wave of K31's hit, they redesigned it so that 7.5x55 fits now.

The shell holders for the Lee tool are proprietary to the tool, but are dirt cheap.

What a bargain on primers..especially in light of whats going on with the prices and availability.
Also great work on stopping the smoling habit. You can do it!! I stopped 4 years ago..should have stopped sooner, definitely have some lung damage...but it sure would be worse if I didn't stop. Don't go back....
