Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I bought some 284 win brass to make 6.5-284 and the base on them are different sizes. Had to do some digging but I was given 4 sets of Herters dies and case holders and there just happened to be the one for odd size 308 cases. I also am turning a few thousandths off the neck to be on the safe side.

It can be hard to find parts for some of the old presses. There was case holders for 44 mag, 380 ACP, and an extra for 222.

Mike:

I think most of Winchester ammo is made in the US. Most centerfire is made in a complex in East Alton, IL, and they moved their rimfire plant to Oxford, MS a few years ago. Their specialty ammo is made overseas, such as 7.62x54R and 7.62x25. These are made in eastern Europe, I think by S&B in Slovakia. Winchester also has a plant in Australia, but I believe it makes only shotgun shells. I bought some WW 16 ga. 5 or 6 years ago that were made in Australia.

Some online listings for Winchester's USA economy line of ammo have a disclaimer that says "USA is a brand name only. It does not mean this ammunition is made in the United States." I think this is to cover them for the limited number of items that they bring in from overseas.

gary , ill stand corrected as i had only 'heard' that from someone i thought might actualy know , his credentials are not that strong with me and ill refrain from saying that in the future ....

his comment was laced within the sale discussions many months ago , might have included some speculation on his part , at any rate i still shoot plenty of it :D

They are required by law to put on the package where it is made.
