Here's an update on my ammo tests for my M91/30 PU.
Instead of the 174gn I used the Sierra 150gn FBSP bullet and I must say that I'm very pleased with the result.
Some loading data first:
Case: S&B (53.60mm)
Primer: S&B
Bullet: Sierra 150gn FBSP
I used 2 different loads:
1) 27,8gn N110
2) 28,0gn N110
COL: 72.60mm
First the 27.8gn load.
On this target my POA was "the bottom of the black" as we say over here.
I changed that to dead center with my 2nd set of 5 shots as you can see in the picture.
I found it strange that with each set of 5 shots there was one that hit the target further to the right.
All in all I'm very pleased with these first results.
Next was the 28.0gn load.
POA on this target was dead center.
With this load the bullets hit the target a bit to the right and......strange but true.....again one shot in each set of 5 hit the target not further to the right, but a bit down this time.
You see that 0.2gn makes a difference with this fast burning powder.
My conclusion is that my PU likes the lighter, 150gn bullets best.
Next time I'll try 2 different loads again (27.9 and 27.5gn N110) and see what happens.
I'll keep you all posted.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Martin
