The last time I was at the local Mom and Pop Gun store the primer shelves were full. And when I ran out out H4895 found THREE places online that had 8 pound jugs in stock! ![]() |

And if you don't buy 4 to 6 jugs the hazmat charges eat you up. Rad |

No, even with the hazmat an 8 pound jug still is cheaper than 8 locally bought 1 pound jugs. Nobody locally sells 8 pounders by me. |

I used to like the 20 # tin kegs by IMR. Still have about 1/5 of a keg o' 4895. Used most of it up feeding a SAFN in 30-06. Wish I still had the SAFN. Being left-janded, I liked a lot better than a Garand. Wile E. Coyote didn't think much of it, though. SW |

Well, bonus, I ran out of large rifle primers so I headed to the local Mom and Pop Gun Shop, and when I pull in I see a big sign, 10% off all powders and primers, limited time. So I also got a jug of H4198 for some .223 and the primers I came in for in the first place. When I get home, the big brown truck comes by, drops off 8 pounds of H4905, a pound of 2400, 280 rounds of 7.62X25, and and chamber adapter for my Mosin Nagants that lets me shoot those 7.62X25 of of them. Looks like I'll be busy for a while and need to schedule in a range session. |
