The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. Got this in for repair.The barrel was packed solid with rock salt.Some guy was going to shoot someone stealing tools from his work van.Had to drill it out.

Its the barrel hanging by the coat hanger.soaking with WD 40.
The marlin is in for a cleaning .30/30
Ill update when its back together.

Why didn't anyone tell me i forgot the first picture??? :oops:

Any permanent damage to the bore? Could the Salt have been dissolved or melted out somehow?

When I looked at it there wasn't any pics so I just went on by. I presume the salt was in one end so I am with ET, so how is the barrel?

I wire brushed it after soaking it and it looked a bit dull in the lose spots but the riffling was crispy new looking.

The riffling looks like a old brazen bit.Big groves that stick way out.

I did not shoot it.I ran a patch of butter bore down it and sent it on its way last night. $50.00 for the gun show tomorrow.
