.....posted thes waaaaay back on old forum I think,but have long since disappeared........obviously WW1-but no one in the family on her side knew much about his service.....actually the only way I knew it was him was because I came across pics of her dad on leave after bootcamp next to him...a lil' older....a lil fatter-but still definately him....if I had a scanner I'd post that pic side by side so you could see..........ANOTHER fella I wish I could've talked too... :-? ....anyway,here's the shots....looks like a P17 to me-and when I zoom in on his ammo belt,I see I've got one the exact same type!!!....a Mills-patented in '06 and 1915.......dunno what the insignia on his shoulder is of in the 1st studio pic...

...........unfortunately, no......nothing written on the back of them, as is with some others ..and no one seemed to know anything-they were squirreled away when I found them....only surviving person that would is wifey's mom-and she has Alzheimers... :-?

He was in the second infantry div, that's the indian head patch on his shoulder
