Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Last vet dies

The last Australian WW.1 veteran has died at age 106. He was Seaman Willian Evan Allen, He served onboard the H.M.A.S. Encounter , he went to sea at age 14. Mr. Evans died Monday night in Sydney Australia. Bushido101

You know it is hard to realize that is the last known Australian vet in the whole country from WW.1 . By the way Don I found that in the local paper. Bushido

When I was in high school, there was still a Spanish-American War Veteran's club in the small town I'm from. If I had been thinking at all, I could have attended a meeting, taken notes and scored a good grade in history class... And preserved some, too. SW

Not trying to get sentimental but when any vet dies I thinka small part of history dies too. BTW how many WW1 vets are still alive?
