A paratrooper in the 82d Airborne in WW2. You really feel like you are there with him. Great read! Recommended. Milsurps Rule! |

I heard the 82nd had quite a hard fight on the northern shoulder of "The Bulge". Is this mentioned? Strange the book mentions an artillery term. I read they used proximity fuses during that fight on the northern shoulder. I cannot imagine the carnage of a whole corp of artillery firing TOT during that battle, but I've heard escorting infantry with tanks just vaporized and the attack immediately stalled out. Best Regards, Mark |
