Onada wrote a book a year or two after he returned home entitled " No Surrender". Been many years since I read it but seems to me he started his guerrilla band with 4 or 5 enlisted men and book told of how gradually each was lost until finally it was just him.
An interesting read in all respects. One had to admire his devout dedication to his Emporer, country and cause....though I did find myself wondering at such devotion in the face of so many reasons to question the validity that war was still going on as the years went by.
