Yesterday's Weapons Forums

Is it possible for me to trace the path/actions of my great uncle (WW2) through the European theater via military records, website, etc? He came into a company of West Virginians as a replacement shortly after they broke out of the hedgerow country. I know bits and pieces but I think it would be great (for the family posterity if nothing else) if I could trace his actions through to the end of the war. Thanks!

....if you know what division or other group he was attatched to-you'd be amazed how much info and history you can dig up online with a simple google search-starting out general,and then refining your searches....thats how I found out almost everything on my father in law who was in the 804th Tank Destroyer Battalion with the 5th Army....eventually found a book written 4 years after the war with EVERYTHING in great detail-took some time,but it was fun...... ...he's the fella holding the Garand in the snow in my signature below...
