Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

THere are a number of metal detecting clubs in Russia and surrounding countries. And they find some neat stuff. I mess around with a metal detector & would really like to go there someday for that... if I wasn't skeered of UXO. SW

I am an equipment operator on a potato farm/ packaging plant and there are occasional stories in the trade and ag mailers of European farmers who inadvertently dig up UXO from WWI and WWII. nearly 70 years later European farmers are still losing their lives to these things. I remember 2 years ago hearing a story about a pineapple grenade that made it as far as a Frito-Lay potato chip factory in England. The building was evacuated and it was removed and disposed of by an ordinance detail from the nearest army base. The potatoes came from Belgium.
