The fallen bridge could be one of many spanning the Han river splitting Seoul in two blown before people could escape to the South. Today, real estate south of the river in Seoul is highly prized due to this memory. Psy's You Tube and billboard hit (#2) in 2012 mocks the rich elite in Gangnam, or "RiverSouth" in English. Nice pictures. I swear many must be Life Magazine photos with Russian captions. Notice the lack of trees. The Japanese stripped Korean of all she was worth, including coal and trees. Of was it the Koreans making due without coal cause they had to export all their coal to Japan? Today, the mountains now have trees. Best Regards, Mark |

Couldn't agree more, unless they are growing food and then you still need trees to protect the top soil. They also recycle as much as humanly possible out there. Wood is still at a premium. Best Regards, Mark |
