those last three years of the draft was when the lottery kicked in , its what kept my 1A a$$ out of the statistics , i didnt realise it had been continuous over that period , i had thought it had lapsed after the korean truce then reactivated at the beginning of viet nam , but i was well aware the marines were taking draftees |
