I was checking out the lack of trees on the hills. I've been told the Koreans had to strip the mountains for wood for heat as all the coal went to Japan. So far, I haven't seen much to tell me different. Presently, most mountains there have lots of trees now.

That transport plane is actually in the Korean war section of the USAF Museum. Well, not the exact plane. Cool to see it in action though.

Thanks for the pictures. I do relish shots of the mountains back then to see what the place looked like back then. I also like old pictures of Seoul. I once worked next to the old rail road station downtown and met my wife there.
