Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

This was a true turning point in America's yearning for independence.
A relative fought there. I remember him.
Anyone interested can PM me for more detail. There are several orginazations out there that cellebrate this event.
If you are related to one of these men, you should hold them on high, and be proud.
It isn't often that Farmers rout Kings...

The only good book I know on the topic is
"The Road To Guilford Courthouse" sorry, don't have the ISBN handy as I loaned it to a relative.
But this book details the fact that the "Revolution" in the South, was actually America's first Civil War. It was truly a fight amongst brothers and cousins. There were very few actual Britts.
The brutallity should be a lesson to those who see American independence as some sort of pre-ordained thing.
It was a very hard-won fight.

My wife had 2 grandfathers (somewhat removed) at Kings Mountain. They were father & son. The son was 13 years old, carried and used his rifle as the other men did.

Back then, men were men.
