Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I participated in Artic Ops and am one of a small number of people who can say I have walked on the ice at the North Pole. In November of '82 I was on the USS Aspro SSN648 in first winter rendevous at the pole with the USS Tautog (Can't remember her hull number). Will have to see if I can locate the commemorative belt buckle we had made up and take a photo of it to post here. But for now here are a couple of pics of the Aspro with Tautog in the background.

Both of these photos were taken by one of my best friends while in the service(I was less than 24 hours older than him, we could get good and ripped celebrating birthdays on the same night.)
