I sent this to another forum member & should just as well include it here for a bit. I'm not sure what model tank this is - it was a static display near Phu Bai, RVN... I think. It's been a few years.

As well as I know, it was a French tank acquired by the Viet Minh who parked it out of the way when spares were no longer available.

I crawled inside & clearly recall the build plate on the gun carriage. "Chrysler Tank Works, Detroit, Mich - 1953.

Not much room in there!

Nearby was a Russian "Stalinets" bulldozer allegedly taken from the Ho Chi Minh trail. The pic has gotten away from me over the years. SW

**ETA** Shown are a couple Stalinets pics I found online. Bottom word on the radiator is "diesel". Raised red letters in the center of the radiator appear to be the logo of the "Chelyabinsk Tractor Factory".

I can't tell you anything about it- perhaps the French had Chrysler equip the tanks with their standard caliber?

And that's me, all righty - back when I weighed what I was supposed to.

Why was I in Phu Bai? As well as I recall, it was a PX run. SW
