As in if you don't like graphic pics,, click over to another forum now.

1) Any of you vets saw this a zillion times... Vietnamese woman smoking the vile weed they called tobacco. I think the word for cigaret was 'thouc'. (pronounced 'took')

How they could stand to smoke the stuff was beyond me! They would roll a 'thouc' and let it flop from their bottom lip. The women also chewed betel nut. Turned their teeth & gums black. Permanently. It also rotted the teeth but it was a mild narcotic & deadened the pain from chewing rice with the stumps. A self-perpetuating habit. :?

2) I found this pic on a Russky site. American troops & a couple ARVINs appear to be interrogating an enemy. The clothing hints that he might be a Viet Cong rather than NVA regular. I recall seeing a few scenes of this sort & strong negative reinforcement was what got results. (read: pain)

Yes, it's graphic, but such is the reality of what happened all too often there. Please pull the pic if offensive. SW

its history, its true, but it wasnt anything that the enemy wasnt doing as well, war is hell, and that will never be different, no matter what a politician says or an activist.
