while faxes are 'legal' in business, and will stand up in court under most situations, the BATF requires an actual signature in a conspicuous color that proves it to be original to that purchase, as much as its a PITA it makes perfect sense if you think about it a moment. |

i was told it was the only legal way, but what do i know? im just doing what i think makes sense - "original signature" |

I asked my local agent about it. They consider both faxes & e-mailed versions "electronic" which they now consider legal forms as well as mailed originals. Here is a link to the newsletter stating the same. Page one bottom left hand side |

Besides, these days, the fax and printer are often the same machine, so they print the emailed document and receive the faxed on on the same machine. |

i emailed mine to AIM and i used a blue ball point to sign it so it did not look funny. i have since bought 4 MN rifles from them. |
