Don't know much about this one, may have seen it at the Gugenheim "the art of the motorcycle" display though....lot of weird ones there. It definitely looks like something I would ride that's for sure :lol

its beautiful , but first thing that came ti mind was "bat bike" and 1936 would have been about right ...

Left hand gear shift, foot operated clutch, handle bar sweep, and back support saddle all say pre-Glide Police Harley to me. Take away the fairing, saddle bags, and trunk...

The law used them for traffic enforcement here- even in the winter- with an empty side car for stability. Woe to the baddy that tried to out run these. Ford developed their "interceptor" transmission, and the cop harleys became history...
