I think the true owners of the past British Leyland must be rolling in their graves. I bet they are not using Lucas gauges and wiring! Mine on my old Spitfire work only when they want to and its mostly not at all! Still I like the old Brit cars. |

It appears my 12 yr old is buying a 1961 Morris Minor. She had to promise that she would work on it or else. We shall see. |

Speaking of Morris Minors, when I was stationed in Cheyenne a friend traded me one night for my 53 ford convert and I drove his MM on a date. Could not get it to climb the hill outside the airport so we could watch the planes take off and land. That thing was so under powered I was surprised it would even do highway speeds. Rad |

my daughters and I we laughing today about that same issue. My dream would be other then getting my Mustang and 56 Ford PU running is to buy a new Caddy CTS-v. It has the 550 Corvette motor in it. The girls were asking what their cars hp was and we laughed about the under 75 hp the Spitfire and the MM have. They have been instructed NOT to drive them on the freeway and not to leave town! |
