well its different , i think a bit more bondo - some sanding - and a splash of paint and shes ready to go to town |

Do you remember those VW Transporters, first generation (1950-67), like a Microbus but having a kind-of pickup bed on the back rather than a van body? Forward control like a Microbus. Well, many years ago, I was driving on a city street and up alongside me pulls this Transporter but I couldn't see a driver. Turns out, this guy had taken the cab roof of one of these that was wrecked and grafted it onto the top of his existing Transporter cab. So he was jacked up several feet higher than usual, he'd extended the steering shaft, raised the seat and the whole bit. I wish I had a picture of it, but it was at night and no camera. |
