mybusa , its been my dream since i watched the shelby team tear up the track back in the early 60s , yes - blue and white were the colors ,

this is a photo from a kit sellers site i believe , i have a file in my drawer with the original writeup on the race version from august 1962 sports car graphic , and the kit sales sheet from contemporary clasic from 1982 [the last time i got serious about buying the kit ] complete with price lists , i was just short of ordering when the partnership i was involved in went broke and i found myself looking for a job ,

i also have a copy of the page from my fathers british car coffee table book dateing back to 59 or so that outlines the english A.C. automobile that inspired shelbys body [a direct-upsized-copy] and if i could find one of those id be happirer yet ---but i want it in british racing green

Some time ago I heard that there was a company making the bodies in aluminum like the old AC's. That would be the way I would like to go so as I would be sticking closer to the AC Bristol's.

Oh how its fun to dream.

mybusa , i think its the company i refered to as having recent info - i believe they are california based - perhaps one day

don , the jag is third on my list - the 55 would do just fine , the 68 XKE would as well , that 55 reminds me of my far less expensive experience of learning to drive in a 55 triumph TR3 , same bug eyes and similar red color , the leather interior was tan tho

Those cars would buy a lot of guns Or ammo

69 XKE is high on my list.

Well, as long as we're dreaming here, this is what I want:

1936 Lincoln Model K:

Total Lincoln Model K production in 1936: 1,534
The car in the picture above was built for Mrs. Henry Ford.

This next one is a 1936 Lincoln Model K roadster, with body by LeBaron. There were 20 of these built in that year, costing $4,700 Depression dollars, good enough for Daddy Warbucks or Scrooge McDuck. These weighed 5,136 pounds. All '36 Lincolns were powered by a 440 cubic inch V-12 engine built to aircraft quality.

I would like to get one like my very first car....... a 1970 Opel GT. It was a fun little thing!



But from the standpoint of something I don't have to tinker with every day
I would get one of these below. I know they aren't a 'classic' but I'd be happy with one of these..... 425 ponies will get me where I'm going in a timely manner



Although I could fit a LOT more guns in the back of one of these!
