So I picked up my first bike late last year (Suzuki S40) - didn't get to ride it much - starting to get nice now so I'm getting to ride it a little more... still need to get a pic of it....

Ahhhhhhh, the old "Savage". Ain't there something sweet about a thumper?

Here's mine....... but you've got about 152cc's on me. And I bet a fair few ponies two. I can only boast about 28-30 hp :lol

Wish I still had my bike.
I had two.
First one was a Honda CX 500 custom.
I sold that one after riding it for 4 years.
Second bike was a beauty.
Owned that one for about 6 years.
It was a Suzuki Intruder 700.

I know I have some pictures of the Suzuki somewhere.
I'll see if I can dig one up and scan it.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

BTW.....that is one fantastic bike Bruce. :-o :-o :-o

I wanted to buy the 1400 too, but my wife was afraid to ride it (to much power) so we settled for the 700.
If I ever buy another bike it will be the 1400.
Great bike.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

One of my favourites I had but got rid of for my Triumph TT600 was a 95 Honda Magna VF740. That was the smoothest cruiser I ever had. 20/20 hindsight.....I would have never let that one go.

Mine was yellow & I put drag pipes & jetted the carbs. Had near 100 hp going 8-) . Again though it only had single front disc & rear drum & didn't handle all that well so I got one of these.

That one scared the crap out of me when I realized I was doing in excess of 170 kph on the back roads & all it takes is 1 deer or woodchuck to run out in front of you & that's all she wrote

Sure is 500cc. Thank God for the decompressor lever or I could jump on the kickstart & still never get it to top dead centre :lol Another cool thing it has is a neutral finder. You can see the heel lever on the gearbox just above the shifter. When you disengage the clutch & hit your heel on it, the gear box is automatically brought to Neutral no matter which upper gear you are in. Saves downshifting if you need to make a rapid stop.

They made the Goldies in a 500 & a 250cc didn't they? Knew a fellow wanted to sell one a few years back, he died though before I could save up the $$$

Weather here is still crappy - so I haven't really been able to get the bike out much... I think they're calling for the weather to break to spring next week... keep your fingers crossed! :D
