...found a pic of my pimped out 1973 Gremlin......MAN-I wish I could have that baby back today.....oooooh the stereo system I had in that thing.....the room in the back when you flopped the rear seat down.....slept in it many times...(oooops ).....aaawww it was so sweeeeeet....I really miss it....

.....not really,I chose the "other" path... ..back in those days,everywhere I was stationed-the big thing was carrying around those portable 8 track players....and it seemed everyone was playing nuthin' but country music on them-to the point where I got sick of it (if'n you look at the front bumper you'll still see my Base sticker on it)....so thats the first think that popped into my lil' brain(Pavlov's Dog Syndrome).....not something from 25 or more years later... must be a 'generational' thing...

Well, it wasn't actually apples & apples... did some Czeching & the Garth-mobile was a Pacer instead of your ride. Same color, though.

I'm not even going to pick sides but I would take BOTH those bikes! One is a good running modern (for it's time) bike! The other, well looks great and is real good at killing the grass and weeds where ever parked!

It's funny how many of my friends had them and yes the ones that took real good care of them has a lot less issues then those who did not. I almost equate them with what the Brits were putting out. They needed lots of attention.

Now the Japanese bikes were get on and go. In my senor year of HS I rode a Honda 550 Four super sport. That was a great bike to ride around town. I can think of many a race down main street at 2am with friends. No helmets and smiles on our faces! My first time at 115mph was on that bike! I was late for a party and it was raining! Oh to be 17-18 again.

When I was in the service I road a Yamaha 750 triple. All black with a Kerker 3 into one exhaust (black of course). I would get the strangest looks in the park at Rapid City SD doing burn outs with that bike. Man that thing sounded good!

But alas now no riding for me for ? I just wrapped up my bike for the winter and had a tear in my eye!
