H&R's website makes abig deal about fitting a second barrel. Anybody ever done this themselves? |

I haven't but for the price let H&R do it & they'll warranty it if there are any problems. Their barrel exchange program is an incredible value. I want to get a 25-06 heavy 26" for one of mine. $114 for the barrel & $19 to ship = $133 That's a great deal. Also remember you can ship direct & they will ship direct back to you no transfers need to be done. |

I know I know but the I did it myself bug is a savage beast indeed. There is an auction on one of the auction sites now for ne receiver with 5 different barrels for about 800. Way out of my price range but it started me thinkin and thats never good......LOL |

Duh! I just realized this is in the scattergun forum. Shotgun barrels are cheaper. I get the 'bug' too |

So I took the plunge and ordered a 20ga barrel on GB. I'm gonna see how it fits on my 12 ga frame. Might work, might not. It'll cost me $30 to find ou. Let you all know how it goes when he barrel ges here. |

So the 20ga tured into a 410ga pardner barrel and fit PERFECTLY on my topper frame. Yeah! Now I got one gun with two barrels. Or two guns with one receiver? |

No the barrel turned out to be a 410 not a 20. |
