Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

thanks for posting that , I saved a copy

I have a 550-1 that belonged to Dad's Uncle
swiss cheesed receiver, but I found a Weaver side mount that matched the holes, and also found a weaver OEG to fit on it,
looks a bit futuristic for the old 550, but I have a standard weaver mount with rings (and a cheap 4x scope) for it as well,

and another 550 that is bone stock

Remington small bore barrels were fantastic back then, both are quite accurate

Yeah, I got a 550-1 from my Dad that he got from my grandmother.

It's quite the awesome little rifle.
