The touch hole has been drilled and tapped...the 'whitelightning' liner was the 1St thing to do with the barrel after inletting it to the stock. A drilled hole was made just ahead of the tang threads, in the center of the barrel...the hole needs to lie about 3/16+-the pan bottom for a fast ignite of powder....with out a drill press at this time...it was TEDIOUS! The next step will be Saturday...I will go out to Jacobs to drill the ramrod hole into the stock. I have the measurements laid out...but Jacob is the wood expert, and I want to hit the final resting place by +-1/16"...with a 38" long drill!
next step will be inletting the lock.....now that the 'hole' is located~

upclose 40cal 'Jenkins' rifling.....
bedding the barrel and tang with acuglass...keeps it from 'shifting' when i whittle off so much wood that the forearm will be slimmer....it goes from a 'Britney' stock to a 'Paris' stock....but at the very muzzle end under the muzzle cap, will be a 'Twiggy' piece of wood!
