Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Hey thats not fair!!

Look at that full front sight, mine needs one of those. I cant wait for the rest of the photos. Also how is the front sight set? I can see the leg of it that goes through to the inside.

Now just think of this with a nice rust blue :-o

If the sight blade has a 'leg' it is probably pressed into place & staked from the bottom side not unlike a rivet would be?

Check out the 'After' pic! It came out really nice.

I did notice that yours has a lot if 'texture' to it. A lot more than mine and much more than the slideI just finished.

Not as much 'texture' as yours & the slide was a leftover military spare
there were no markings on it whatsoever still had milling marks on the flats. It was pretty smooth (no texture0) packed in grease. Yours looks like it was sand blasted maybe??
