the 42 saga continues

Bolt conversion

Step one grind off the full auto sear and cocking lugs from the bolt
(red arrows)

Ground off and the faces bevled

now since I didn't like any of the bolt conversion firing pin remakes i'm doing my own design

heres phase 1

the little triangle thing you see at the end is the roller locking wedge for the bolt. the rest of the assembly is the beginning of my conversion design.

ok explanation

the red arrow points to where the roller assembly attaches to the firing pin sleeve the green arrow is where the stop collar on the firing pin will contact to limit pin travel this will prevent any out of battery firing the bolt will have to be fully locked into place before the pin will reach the primer. the spring you see is a tension spring to prevent looseness in the assembly.

the roller assembly is what operates the belt feed mechanisim.
