Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

A bit further along

Got a lot farther all that is left is the roller assembly and extension

Wide view of all parts.

Rear assembly and bolt parts

front assembly parts

firing pin and spring

sub assembly assembled to show how it is put together

A look at the rear of the bolt and how the pin is supported

the bolt head unlocked and the firing pin fully forward. As you can see the pin does not
even show in the pic thus it will not be able to reach the primer unless the bolt is locked in position

Now a look at the bolt in locked position with the pin fully forward.

This is my own design for the bolt conversion so I Hope it works as intended.

At least your working on yours. I'm at a lull with my 1919, I'm thinking of starting on my semi Bren first. Its nice to see the progress.

I would love to have a semi MG42. But I'm committed to a few other things at the moment.

Be sure ther is no binding in the firing pin. That is a surefire way to have a slam fire or to have the gun fire out of battery. Check www.projectguns.com for some really good tips. Stan has really worked out the bugs of these 42s and is a master craftsman. he is going to redo my bolt with his latest design. It supposedly funtions flawlessly. He is also swapping out my gripstick with his new design.
