Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

picked this one up last year off Gunboards. it's a 24/47 of which the stock had been messed up by the previous owner trying to bed it. it is salvageable. handguard missing and front metal. barrel recrowned also by previous owner. got it fairly cheap. the rest of the work, D&T, rings and base, scope, bent bolt was done by me. i had the 48 stock laying around so i fixed the crack in the wrist and refinished it. so far it's holding 1.5 MOA at 100 yrds. the bore is not the best i've seen on a 24/47 so far, but seems to be getting better the more I shoot it. i have a Parker Hale HB in .308 that i'm thinking about replacing the 8mm with. maybe even a nice Boyd's stock. i'l keep ya'll updated.

same rifle with the original stock. refinished by moi'. sanded, stained, and 4 coats of TruOil. still have to install sling swivels, barrel is floated from receiver ring forward. haven't shot it yet, hoping to get to it later today. these 24/47 stocks have beautiful grains when cleaned up, but this is the best one i've come across so far.

Nice pattern in the stock there. Amazing what is hiding under years of dirt and oil
