I have a Lee Enfield that was in need of front and rear sights which have been replaced. now the lowest setting is 300 and I am going to zero using Mk7 British ammo, this way it is all set up like it once was at the factory sighting department.

However, the range which I am going to do the adjusting at has a 300 stand way up a steep hill..... a very steep hill.

Will the ballistics / trajectory of shooting at that angle screw with my adjusting?

It just might as the ballistics is figured on a level sight plane. The actual distance can be figured if you have a range finder the give you an altitude correction figure.

Just take it as a given that it will shoot high because of the reduced distance. Use Kentucky Elevation & hold it low & see how you do.

Wll if it 300 m up (you said steep) but in actual distance only 200? Yeah a few inches would do it. Start with the 6 O'clock hold & work your way down. See where the hits are.

If you are zeroed at 300 yards and the target is 300 yards from you but at a steep angle above you your shot will be high. How high will depend on many factors, ballistics are part of it but how high your scope is mounted (if you use one) above the axis of the bore is also a factor.
