Doc,

Tried to send a PM but had technical difficulty. Ignorant question: can I change my 1322 pumper to a 1377 just by changing barrels? SW

No such thing as an ignorant question regarding this at all.

Due to the different size breech diameters, you will need a .177 cal. "bolt" as well.
The .22 is too large to go into the smaller bore far enough to make an air-tight seal.

If you are interested in tight shooting, the crosman store may have some choked Lothar Walther
bbls left in stock. They will require even further modification.

Personally, the standard 13-77 bbl's are plenty accurate enough.
I am fairly certain the choked L/W bbl's were designed around the R-10 match pellet, and unless you are going to be shooting at a high competition level, are not an extreme necessity.

For all the playing around and time involved, I decided that the 13-XX series is cheep enough to have one of each caliber, but that's just me. I have done both conversions though.
If you are on the SBK steel breech, this change has a bit more accuracy potential over the plastic factory variant.

Thanks! Since I'm getting variety packs of pellets to see which is most accurate, I wanted to shoot them with a stock & scope for best results. The project is a couple weeks out, though.

I did shoot tiny silhouettes with the 1322. Those 14 grain pellets really send them flying! BTW, those 22 Crosman pellets were American made and accurate. I've set the Chinese ones aside for now. SW

Project on hold for a bit. No 177 barrels are available except Walthers for $100 each. No doubt they're good barrels, but I'll wait to be notified Crosmans are back in stock. SW

Best I can find is the 13-77 at Princess Auto for 69.99 CAD, about 58.00 USD.
I think you'd be better off with a stateside deal- no body here is doing the international shipping thing anymore.

Will look around a bit more...

The 13-77 was a Wally staple here at one time in the mid-distant past, with pricing far out-stripping everyone else. I'm not sure of the U.S. stores situation these days- there has been some weird incidents involving Wally and air-guns over the years. If they still carry them, that would be the place.

Best I can find online is $62. We get a bit back from taxes, and having thought it through, I think you're right getting the entire pistol is the way to go. I could swap out the steel breech on my 1322 and continue to march. SW
