A new forum to me, so the obligatory intro. I live on the West Coast of Michigan, a transplant from the doomed state of Illinois. Been with the military for 23 years and still going, work a miltech job as a civilian. That got me a tour in Afghanland in 2011-12, already seen Iraq in 03-04, not missing much if you've never been there. This forum has a little bit of everything, old and newer bang bang toys, motorcycles, and other topics of interest to me. Hope to share some knowledge and opinions, always open to learning something I did not know also. |

Yep, my dads 68 glide. He owned it for 22 years from when he bought it around 1975, changed it around in 79 to what it looks like now. When he died I took it over in 2000 and still riding it, not as much lately though. Picked up a used 05 Ultra just before my deployment in 2011. |

That would be Sappe Paper Mill, it was running when I moved here in 2001. It's torn down now, been shut down for the past few years. |

we had a paper mill here untill the explosion a couple years ago , one dead and a few injured , a lot out of work , its still being torn down , some of the property re-purposed as they call it , trying to re-build the tax base and employment rolls , the dam and power plant still stand , it dates to 1903 , hoping they preserve at least that old facility - it still runs and supply's electrical power , |
