I'm absolutely brand new to black powder reloading. Can anybody suggest a good book on the subject. I really want to be safe as can be with black powder since I think its touchier than smokeless, which I have no fear of for some reason. Their are several black powder guns I am interested in, but have no idea on how to safely handle black powder. This and I'm broke now (Daddy wants a new Arisaka). Best Regards, Mark BTW, looks like I need to cast lead bullets as well if I use black powder. I think I need money and a lobotomy for that. |

The main item is to leave no air space between powder and bullet. Also use a wad of some sort. I like Walters Veggie wads. Post your specific data needs here & we should be able to get you in the ballpark. SW |

I might add that Lyman publishes good information on BP both muzzle loader and cartridge. |
