I know of a Dutch Beaumont sitting in a gun store collecting dust at $180 since nobody can find ammo for it. Hopefully I can get some more info on this from the forum.

Best Regards,

Mark

You have come to the right place! Cases are made from 50-90 Sharps... unless you feel like paying Jamison $5 + a whack. Happily, the majority of Beaumonts have .457" bores = you can use your 45-70 boolets! I used 45-90 data for AA 5744.

I was cheep and just neck sized with 45 Colt dies - much better to score dedicated dies.

$180 is a good price. And! If you look down the threads in this forum, you will see other Beaumont discussions! ;) SW

Ummh, now to try to find this place as its been several years. Also, I got to see if the firing pin is in the bolt. I once mistakes it for a Vetterli. Nice looking rifle though.

Best Regards,

Mark

It's an odd design - the flat firing pin spring is in the bolt handle. No problem at all telling of the firing pin is present and intact... the problem is getting it back together. SW

I might add a little info on the Beaumont. There actually are two different case sizes.
