Hello all.

Had some time to make a few “boolits” for my Beaumont today.
I’m happy with the result.
I don’t cast that often.
Had to throw away the first 4 or 5. :-(

The LEE mould (thanks Hogger) produces a 340 gn .457 "boolit".
I lubricated them with LEE Alox and left them to dry until tomorrow.
I’ll size them tomorrow and will reload some this weekend.

Made some pictures while I was busy.

Here’s one of the first….still hot

......LEE Alox works great.

More tomorrow.

Then we both had a great day, didn't we??? :D
Thanks for the tip on lubing my mold.
I don't use them very often so....maintenance is essential. :D

Thanks Pete.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

I use straight beeswax to lube my LEE moulds.

Also use it mixed with Olive Oil & Alox for pan lubing my BP boolits

Found some beeswax here and lubed my LEE molds immediately.
Thanks Pete and Bruce for the tips.
Never too old to learn.

Martin

I just hit the screw on the sprue plate & the guide pins with the beeswax when the mold is hot & that does the trick for me. But then again I am cheap & don't want to spend the $ on special lube :lol
