at least your doing it - my firing pin is fixed and most of the rest of the issues resolved but finding the time to tinker , that is my issue these days , tired after work , busy on the weekends i don't work - 7 days a week gets old real fast , i need some down time to get to these , have all i can do to get to those i own that ive never shot yet , but i am making headway - took four to the range today with happy results |

NebHogger, thanks for sharing your experiences with us, on the 577 SNIDER, it saves us a lot of trial and error. |

There's little info on the net about some of the old time cartridges. I probably go about experimenting all wrong, but it's worked out. In the years since some of this was written, Dutch Mosin got my Dutch Beaumont, Comrade Swihart got one of my Gahendras and a Snider... I had a Francotte Martini but donated it to fund raiser for one of wifey's nephews who was terminally ill. BPCR wise, I'm down to 2 Sniders and a Gahendra all of which are fun to shoot. SW |

as we get older we narrow what we shoot to what we really like , glad you found something to focus on , i still have to do that if i can find time , but i do believe ill concentrate on my kentucky rifle and flintlock handgun when i do , that pesky cat put way too much time into supervising for me to ignore that kind of quality , i do have a nice snider and all the reloading data i just never got to it , |
