They are lettered and numbered as per the old filter convention standards from about 50 years ago.
The yellow is a 40-Y, the orange a 60-O and the red a 60-R. The grey one is n/d for use in brilliant daylight.
There is one filter inside the lens marked normal. I googled the original instructions. They say that the lens was designed to focus through a filter, and should not be used without one. The filter marked normal looks like a late 70's U/V filter to my eye.

The above may explain why I had so much trouble to get the first filter-less lens to focus properly at the infinity mark.

We shall see, but not today. It's cold enough here to freeze the gonads off an angry silver-back gorilla, especially with the wind chill. We sometimes get a couple of above freezing days in early December. I may get a shot at it then...
