Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Kaintuck got me started on the dark side... the more I shoot my flint lock "pony gun" the more I like it. Happened to see this on gunborker for a price I could afford & grabbed it. Pedersoli 44 cal. Can't wait to get it!! :jmp:

All righty then! Got it in the mail today & took it out for a test fire. I still think it's a Pedersoli & the frizzen has been re-hardened. Sparks like a champ! Shows 44 cal on the barrel & a .440" ball rolls freely. With a greased .015" wad it's a snug fit but not too tight.

I think I mentioned I don't have much FFF G on hand so I used a 15 grain scoop of that under 25 grains of 777. Carefully added FFF to the pan and.... **spark** WOOOMP!! :jmp:

Oh, HELL yeah!! :bigrin:

This could be habit forming! Fired a few more & it shoots very close to the sights! Next time I'll take a target & try for a group.

Kaintuck - take a look at the frizzen pics & see if you think it has been re-hardened.

Got left over turkey & a new flint grinder - life is good!!! :bigrin:

interesting that a black powder weapon says - "black powder only" on it - hint its modern ? but i really like it , looks like fun

Couldn't really say if she's been re-done.....sometimes the face is hardened only.....if a file bounces instead a of cuts.....it's hard,?!
As long as she sparks! :jmp:

I have my brotherinlaws cherry flinter I'm fixin to start on....I think flintlocks are way easier than cappers......and, SOMEDAY I'm gonna take my 32cal capper down off the wall and shoot her... :kap:

I hope Mike gets to shoot his riffle soon.....he will like it! :Dbounce:

I have a 54cal German rifle to build next after the cherry stocked one.....I haven't ever shot that big of a rifle.....should be fun....
