I just got this 1870/87/16 Italian Vetterli with AOI brand for a measley 140 busks. I can NOT believe someone else didn't spot it! Last one I saw on the internet sold for $350.

6.5 Vetts with the AOI brand are not common at all & I was elated to gert this one so cheep. :bigrin:

Someone I know who looks a lot like Comrade Fearless Leader has an OEWG M.88/90 with AOI brand. So if you ever tire of it, please keep me in mind. I might be an easy sale!

I just took it from the box & am way happy with it. :bigrin:

On the top barrel flat is an odd stamp that looks like "CAR". Haven't seen that one before & I try to keep up on unusual marks. I've contacted the usual suspects in Italy about it.

The "PP" mark means 'interchangable parts". Early on, each rifle was built one at a time. SW
