.......Springfield Armory XDS .45ACP....
....sold one of my other toys to fund this one....when I went to the gunshop today I was shocked to see the parking lot was so full I had to WAIT for someone to come out so I could park(and its a BIG lot)...
....it was worse when I got inside...please believe me-on my honor this is the honest to GOD's TRUTH...the long counter had at least 25 or so people in a line-and 3 deep-and thats not counting the other folks milling around in the rest of the store... ....I've NEVER seen a shop this packed(and we all know why )....the age range was from young to very old-there were several old COUPLES....one with a cane who said to the rep behind the counter that he'd like to get his wife a pistol to defend herself...I wish I couldve taken photos...finally after about a 45 minute wait it was my turn-the fella was relieved when I told him I'm gonna make it easy for him-didnt need explanations and sales pitch...I told him-he got it....did the paperwork...the backround czech-and I was out the door within 15 minutes of me telling him....as I walked out,the lot was even MORE crowded with folks coming in unable to park ...the cashier said that the line was out the door on Saturday(might explain why I got the busy signal for 4 hrs... ).....
...anyway,by tthe time I got home it was getting dark so I decided I'd better head out back and at least fire off a couple mags to make sure all was well...was cold,dark,clammy ,miserable....went thru 2 mags....EXTREMELY SATISFIED... ...there is no problem for me with recoil for such a size considering its a .45....accuracy for quick rushed shooting at 7 yds was all rounds within 4"-and I KNOW I can do better and different conditions...its so light its scary...easily concealable....kicks ass...!!!...it will be my companion for quite some time...

....I would've loved to get the Kimber...but on my budget they were waaaaaay outa my allowed affordable price range...

very nice , congrats , it does look to be a very convenient size ,

i like the idea of the compact 45cal - its the only complaint i ave about my springfeild EMP , that its 9mm ,

i took delivery of a nice old colt police positive in 38s&w on saturday , the call to the BATF took a half dozen tries to get through and the actual NICS check took nearly a half hour to complete with the "futher review" , i generally get that because of the common name and birth place in another state , but it never takes more than a couple seconds ,

there was a lot of consumin goin on out there this past weekend
