Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I've been wanting one of these and posted a bid not thinking it would hold water... Nobody else bid. Now to do my homework on the Balkan wars, landsturm and lambda x 3.

Happily, I just cast a bunch of 205 grainers & will be ready to shoot it! :bigrin:

I don't have it in hand yet... as far as I know, it's a stock M.88/90 assimilated by Greece sometime during the Balkan Wars ( need to read up on that) & still in 8x50R. I'll look it over closely before firing. SW

I think you need to stick to Eye-tie guns and promptly dispose of that (at my house of course) :bigrin:

I thought of you earlier this morning, Doc. While driving out to the buttes for a short hike, I spotted a dozen prairie chickens pecking gravel on the road. Not sure what species grouse - they have feathered legs, though.

I was scouting for turkeys after the hike & looking for toms ( season approaches). Saw several but none 'fanning' yet. Let il Mutt out to rev 'em up. She showed them the short way back into the timber. I like to hear them cackle when they are skurred of something.

No danger to them - since they can fly, there's no way the dog can catch them. SW

I'm not sure what they'd be that far south

The description makes them sound like true prairie chickens- either sharptail, or hungarians- both have been making a re-surgence in the lower Dakotas.

The geese are back here already. There's still tons of snow to melt, and zero open water...

My computer crashed again. It's acting like the power source is cooked, so no access to my e-mail.
