I've wanted this type for some time & finally spotted one on gunborker for under 200. As seen in the seller's pic, it lacked a trigger guard. But! Some time back I bought for cheep a different style officer's Bodeo that had been made into a lamp. The trigger guards easily interchange - took a whole minute to do the deal!

An unusual feature is the external hammer block. In practice the trigger when fully to the rear engages a cam that moves the block aside so the hammer can whack the primer.

Works just fine, but in a combat scenario, I'd be all for keeping it clean and watching closely for wear! :-o

It had a lot of light surface rust when I got it, but WD-40 & fine steel wool quickly took care of that. The trick is knowing when to leave well enough alone. Don't want to monkey up an historical artifact! I have ammo loaded & hope to shoot it today or tomorrow. SW
