Got this for cheep off gunborker since it was a 1st time seller and has the engraved name. Colt Police Positive in 32 Colt New Police = 32 S&W Long. I was starting to get worried. Seller took his time shipping but it was here today.

Story goes it was carried by a Chicago detective for 25 + years & I can believe that. Plenty of wear but locks up tight as a new one. Slick like the old Colts, too! But you buy the gun and not the story.

Needs a good cleaning... and a set o' grips. Any of you gents got an old set of Police Positive wood grips in yer junk box you'd sell? Also, if anyone has a Colt list, it's #159xxx. What year is that?

I have ammo loaded & hope to get out soon to see how it shoots. Shown with my S&W Hand Ejector for size perspective.

I have a 22 Police Positive and the serial #34xxx dates it to about 1928.

I could use a set of grips also as mine has an ivory type on it.
