The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. I've always wanted to mess around with a kukri so when IMA had them on sale last week, I grabbed one. And yes - it was coated in yak fat. But a spray-down with paint stripper soon cured that!

Actually, yak fat is a great metal preservative. No rust on the metal at all! It was sharp, too. Took it to firewood in the back yard and it's still capable of giving someone a splitting headache. Quite a chopper!

It's about to snow here so I'll mess around with it later. This was a basic model with no sheath or the two little knives. Works for me.

Sweet buy! Gotta say though, I'm with Square10 though, never caught the blade-bug. Looks like one mean knife. And those Ghurkas, they don't mess around.

I guess it's inbred.
