Yesterday's Weapons Forums

I went to an estate auction yesterday with hopes of picking up a Winchester 62 or Win 1890.....or maybe even the Belgium Browning.....dreamer! Those went for 750.00, 775.00 and 550.00....oh well, it was my first auction and I didn't want to go home empty handed so I picked up this cheap Dreyse 1907 .32....strange little thing but kinda cool anyway....no mag but I think I can find one.....

Been looking at non-Luger German hand guns myself. Nice pick up. I hear Nebhogger likes 32 cal. Why did he ever have to put that thought in my head since i look at them now….oh the horror.

Yes, those are different! I never did figure out why the barrel tips up when it doesn't let you scrub the barrel.

You probably already discovered you need to push the barrel bushing in and rotate it 90 degrees to remove the barrel. Not as easy as it sounds. Shouldn't be too hard to find a magazine. SW

This is my first old pistol....have a couple of W German SIGs but those only go back to '83.....hardly old. Yes Hogger, that bushing is a royal pain in the ass! I thought it was hard to get apart....getting that spring compressed enough to get it back together is every bit as frustrating! Still trying to get it! Weakness? Arthritis?
There's a gun show in Rapid next weekend....maybe I should stay home.
Forgot to mention.....a few months ago there was a Friends of the NRA banquet Ted and went to....after all the little prize drawings with nothing won and resigned to the fact it was just a donation to a good cause....BOOM.....we walked out with a Kimber Ultra Carry .45, a 10/22 Remington(I think) NRA commemorative take down and a DPMS bull barrel .308.....DPMS was my ticket, waiting for nice weather to give that one a try. It'll never happen again in a million years

Always like the FofNRA dinners. Were those drawing wins or auction items? Only ever won one pistol at our dinners, a NRA Ruger P345, it was the pick of the litter and that was the last time they did that.

My gun club runs a 52 gun raffle every year and it has been a couple years since the last time we won any thing. A few years ago the FofNRA ran a state wide raffle and my wife won that, $3000.00 gift certificate and a gun safe.
