Yesterday's Weapons Forums

Right now there's an influx of handguns from Israel. Most were supposed to have been used by law enforcement or prison guards. The majority are FN Hi Powers, but there's quite an assortment of Berettas, CZ and FEG, too.

I was shopping for an FN Hi Power which start @ $400... It takes around $475 to get a decent one. The lower price range all have pitted left sides where people sweated through their holsters and caused rust.

My main man in Budapest told me about the relative quality of FEG Hi Power clones and showed me pics of his. So for half the price of a similar FN, I grabbed this:

Tamas assured me FN magazines work and all parts interchange freely. We will see.

Next time Et drops in, there's potential for a group buy with this. SW

Good gun. Most Hi-power parts interchange. The mags can be iffy, might have to caress the notch in the mag a bit.
I've worked on them and the Czech's did a good job building, maybe a little rougher than FN, but they hold up well.
A little searching and you can find FEG mags for them, although they ain't cheap.

The FN mags Tamas bought over here work just fine in his FEG.

My AIM SURPLUS Belgian Hi-Power has no left side pitting. I stuck gold! Now if it would stop shooting to the left. Nice pistol BTW.
