The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

After asking the seller about certain issues - like the bore, ( he says it's nice and shiny) I grabbed this for cheep. I also checked to be sure 45 Colt cylinders were available since that's the plan for it.

It looks like it was "aged" for cowboy shoots but not shot that much. Works for me! :bigrin:

very nice - i love the looks of those and would love to have a pair with conversion cylinders for 45 colt to shoot cowboy with , i even like that condition myself

The drag marks are easy - just stone a few thousandths of metal from the cylinder stop bolt. When you see drag marks like this, you know you will have to hand fit the cartridge cylinder. SW

If I get one I'm skipping the conversion cylinders. I love the BP smoke. I'll regret that after I clean it. Still love the smoke.

Citizen,

This is why we have dish washers. To clean our Black Powder folly (fun) after we get done shooting. Or you can figure out a nice load using Trailboss. I do confess that after shooting BP in my MK I Webley, I almost despaired and put it in the dish washer. I finally just took the entire pistol apart to get it clean. The residue from the BP gets EVERY WHERE!!!! Trailboss is my friend!

the drag marks don't bother me - its a working gun , you use it regularly and enjoy it , for cowboy shooting i consider mine expendable if that's what it comes down to - i just want them to work and work well , im proud of the ones i use regularly even if they look well worn and a little abused , they are NOT collectibles they are working guns
